This week’s track of the week is an old favourite and a reminder to myself of the importance of music bloggers (although of course I would say that, as I am one myself).
I stumbled across Nana Grizol’s ‘Tambourine-N-Thyme on the excellent daily mp3 blog Said the Gramophone 6 or 7 years ago. I’ve never heard it on the radio, never heard it mentioned anywhere else, and so I can be fairly certain I would never have heard it if ti hadn’t been for that blog.
I’ve been listening to it again this week for a playlist i’ve been putting together, and have been reminded how ace it is. A woozy slice of indie-folk in the vein of Decemberists or Neutral Milk Hotel, with superb lyrics, it makes me smile every time I hear it. One of those songs I think everyone should hear. Enjoy!
