There seems to be an lot of great music coming out of Canada at the moment, such as Colin Stetson (born in the US but based in Montreal), who released one of my favourite albums of the year, and Meter Bridge who I recently interviewed (interview up on the site tomorrow!). A new discovery, for me at least, is L.T.Leif, a self described lo-fi freak-folk singer. She makes the most gorgeous, minimal music, using mainly just vocals and tenor ukelele. I was introduced to her song Opening by the ever excellent For The Rabbits site, but it is the strangely named ‘dontdonut’ that has really stolen my heart. Enjoy!
